Below you see a closeup of the resin cast painted by Karen Zorn with the mane part that fits directly over the braids. The part simply slides into place. The forelock will require a bit of sticky wax to hold it in place. The bridle path is neat and trim and ready for tack. Snaffle or pelham? You choose. She looks like she would have a very soft mouth! This is an actual resin cast - exactly what you will receive. |

"With a Twist" represents an evolution in resin model horses! This fine
Traditional size Thoroughbred hunter mare offers collectors and
showers the ultimate in performance-friendly style with her
interchangeable mane. That's right - an interchangeable mane!
Twist is cast with a perfectly braided hunter style mane, appropriate for
all English performance classes. She comes with a loose mane cast
in resin that snaps snugly over her braids to create a different look
suitable for Western performance classes. The forelock requires a bit
of sticky wax to hold the loose forelock over the braid. The patent for
this mane style is licensed from Candace and her business partners to
EquinArt Creations for the casting of this horse.
The interchangeable mane style has been used successfully in the live
show ring. You are also free to customize this resin and create your
own mane if you desire.
Twist is named after a former race horse turned show horse that
Jeanne Grunert, EquinArt's president, rode in the early 1990's. The
horse was owned by Janet Cast Rizzo and was trained and shown
under the guidance of former Olympic rider Nona Garson. Twist was
sold to a young rider in Maryland, and we have since lost track of her,
but she had a solid career as an equitation horse, jumper, and hunter,
and was beloved by everyone in the barn for her soft mouth, wonderful
gaits, and steady yet forward personality. It is with pleasure and pride
that EquinArt Creations brings you this wonderful new resin!
