Ann M. Moore focuses primarily on bronze animal sculptures and original artist resins. Ann
converts a lifelong fascination with animals into works of art. Her art focuses on accurate
anatomy and the individual character and personality of the animals she sculpts. Ann merges
detail with gestures and science with emotion to depict carriage, expression and actions.
"From my experiences riding and owning horses, I understand the bond between animals and
the people who love, train and care for them. I appreciate the depth of that connection and enjoy
sculpting animals and people interacting. Horses and riders are a favorite subject. I love to
depict those teammates."
Ann is a cum laude graduate of Rhodes College with a BA in Studio Art. As a student, she was
commissioned to create the monumental-scale bronze lynx mascot that is permanently
installed on the campus. Ann holds a Master of Arts in Teaching from the University of
Memphis. She was an "Art in the Park" invited art instructor at the Kentucky Horse Park in
Lexington, Kentucky. Ann has extensive bronze casting and sculpting experience from
performing as Foundry Foreman for 13 years with the Lugar Bronze Foundry and Gallery in
Eads. While there, she cast her own limited edition bronzes and assisted other artists in
translating their original artwork into bronze.
EquinArt Creations is thrilled to welcome Ann to our list of fine equine artists.
